How to Prepare for Wedding Emergencies as a Wedding Photographer

Sticky tape will always get to save the day.

sussex wedding photographerIt can be quite funny how underrated the sticky tape can turn out to be during wedding photo shoots. As a wedding photographer, you need to make sure that you get to prep yourself up as much as possible for fashion emergencies and the like. There will always be fashion emergencies going on one way or the other. Trouser hems unfurling or other stitching jobs gone bad are the usual culprits for it. Sticky tape is a great way to get things together, at least for the duration of the time that you are shooting their pictures as their official wedding photographer. You don’t have to worry about how the rest of them will hold up once you are done taking your pictures. After all, you are just their wedding photographer and the scope of your responsibilities are more or less limited to the photo shoot or to the aspect of getting the pictures taken. A roll of sticky tape is not something that will cost you too much money and it is not something that will get to take up too much space somewhere along the way either.

Bring a white tarp along with you.

The white wedding dress is always at the mercies of the elements. This can be doubly taxing for you as the wedding photographer and for the bride when the wedding is set to be outdoors. One thing that you can do to help you out while you are at it is a roll of white sheet that you can lay out on the ground so that the bride can step on it. This way, you will be able to protect her dress as well from moisture in the ground, dust, mud, and so on and so forth. There are so many other things that the wedding dress needs protection from. Most of the wedding dresses out there are made out of fairly delicate materials as well and they are almost always impossibly expensive. This will ensure that you have something that can really set the bride’s mind at ease and make things easy for you as well as the wedding photographer for the wedding. A roll of white sheet made out of waterproof material such as a tarpaulin is fairly cheap and it won’t really cause too much of a dent in your budget as a wedding photographer. It is definitely something that is worth spending for at the end of the day.

Set aside a bottle of stain remover for all of those food and drink spillages.

Weddings come hand in hand with food and drinks because it is a celebration and there is always a pretty good chance that the guests can turn out to be a little rowdy and end up staining their clothes. You can help them out a little bit by including a stain remover in your emergency wedding kit along with you whenever you have a wedding to cover as a Sussex wedding photographer
